Behind the Kemi Telford brand is Nigerian-British designer Yvonne Modupe Telford. Combining an incredible flair for print design and a dream to make clothes that make women feel great, Yvonne has created a bold print that tells a story of womanhood.
She was particularly struck by the struggle for recognition, sacrifice and resilience in the lives and works of textile artists Sonia Delauney, Sophie Taeuber-Arp and Anni Albers. Just like these artists who inspired her, Yvonne has used vivid colour and geometric elements.
